National Architecture Award 2002 for the best brick architecture, is the work of Spanish architect Emilio Espinosa. Corten steel, glass, Iroko and Ipe wood, iron, exposed beams, brick, open spaces, playing with heights with ceilings up to 14 meters, adorn the rooms that unfold surrounded by nature and the light that enters and exits the building seamlessly through the large armored windows with thermal insulation.
The structure is supported by six large arches which, together with the use of noble, water-repellent and waterproof materials, provide solidity and strength to the building designed around a central courtyard presided over by a magnificent holm oak tree. The originality lies in combining solidity and transparency, uniqueness with a homely warmth. Mehr lesen
